Welcome to our Parish Forum. Please read about it here before participating for the first time. The link directly to the Forum is at the bottom of this page.

Our Parish Forum (along with the Calendar) is being hosted without charge by Hyperboards.com. This means that to participate in the forum, you will be leaving the Blessed John XXIII website. You may see some ad banners, and you are free to disable them.

IMPORTANT: The first time you enter the Forum, you will be asked to set up a profile for yourself, and log in with the same profile each time you participate. The profile you register includes your e-mail address, but if you wish, you can use a nickname known only to yourself. You should elect to make it a "Global" profile.

PLEASE KEEP TRACK OF THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD YOU SELECT, TO AVOID HAVING TO RE-REGISTER. Then, each subsequent time you enter the Forum, you will log in easily.

You can start by browsing existing comments. Your input will usually be as a response to a previous comment on a "Topic" that interests you. Go to that comment, press the response button, enter your input into the "COMMENT" box, and when you're sure it's what you want to say, push the "REPLY" button. "Topics" are grouped into "Bulletin Boards," which in turn are grouped into "Categories." Categories and bulletin boards are pre-structured, but may be changed by the webmaster on popular demand. Users may individually add topics on a bulletin board as the need arises (i.e., when there are a sufficient number of comments about an independent subject), but please try to keep topics on the correct, logical bulletin board. The forum will be moderated, but hopefully it will be possible to do this with a light hand.

For now, all topics are open to everyone, parishioners and visitors alike. If this causes problems, or if the need arises for boards private to the members of a particular Ministry (e.g., choir members only) we will selectively add access restrictions later.
